#ECATakeover: Palestinian and Israeli Youth Leaders Take the USA by Storm

Yesterday, 35 of PeacePlayers International’s Palestinian and Israeli youth leaders traveled to the United States for a 10-day leadership and cultural learning excursion supported by the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs (SportsUnited). Starting the trip off in New York City, they have so far taken part in a basketball clinic at the 92nd Street Y and team-building exercises in Central Park. Highlights of the remainder of the trip will also include a sports management workshop with Dr. Chad Ford and NBA General Manager Sam Presti, and a Round Table Discussion with U.S. State Department/ECA Representatives.

Prior to the exchange, the group put together this video to show what it means to be a part of this incredible team.

  1. PeacePlayers rocks! To outsiders here in America, Israeli and Palestinian youth look so much alike … and that’s the point, what unites is (much) more important than what divides … and the kids are so cute! Thank you for going to so much trouble to show them such a (meaningful) good time.
